The ALDH1A2 protein was also detected by Western blot analysis of paraffin-embedded human prostate tissue. There was little to no ALDH1A2 protein detectable in the malignant tissues compared to adjacent benign tissue (Figure 6A-F). Interestingly, there were two different isoforms of the human ALDH1A2 gene.
